One of the newest and more interesting festivals, not to mention free ones in the UK is The Dark Mills festival of Gothic Arts and Alternative Culture taking place in London on the 4th and 5th of September.
As the name suggests it is not just about the music but also film, theatre, seminars, exhibitions and even a bit of nipple twirling burlesque and that's both male and female. The film side should get the darker movie fan frothing at the mouth as there are a couple of extra special screenings. Saturday sees Michael Armstrong introducing his 'Mark Of The Devil' the film that surpassed Witchfinder General in its brutality and is still not available in its uncut form in the UK. On the Sunday SFX guru Bob Keen is on hand to show the seminal Ridley Scott sci-fi monster movie Alien. Also Anthony Hicox will be there and showing his madcap fun and frightfest Waxwork and there are talks from all sorts of interesting people too.
Music sees headliners Beautiful Deadly Children on Saturday and Scream Queen Eileen Daly and her band The Courtesans on Sunday with a full host of supporting acts which you can see in detail by looking at the flier at the following link.

Last night we were treated to a festival launch with many of the people taking part present and that includes a rather hot looking Alien who was seen burning holes in the floor as he sweated acidic blood. If that were not enough we were put through the mill literally on the new Pasaje Del Terror ride at London's Trocadero.
The festival is held at Merton Abbey Mills, Colliers Wood, South London this weekend.
