TOKIO HOTEL
'Humanoid'
CHERRYTREE / UNIVERSAL MUSIC
Well, they are not 'emo' regardless of the media critics who label Tokio Hotel as such, in fact they are not even regarded emo! German rock sensation Tokio Hotel opt for bilingual options with their sixth full length (although this is their 2nd English and 3rd German release respectively - album recorded in both languages). Mixing some Progressive Metal influences along with Pop Rock, Prog Rock, Glam/Alternative visualizations, and an all round sensational sound, no Metalhead cannot deny Tokio Hotel are one awesome rock band, even with the undeniable fact Metal came from Rock, did it not? Well anyhow, Tokio Hotel are not done yet, far from it, considering the quartet have not changed line-up nor their style, Bill Kaulitz opts for the Glam/Emo/Goth look, whereas his twin brother Tom Kaulitz is more on the hip-hop side, in tow is their fellow compatriots Georg Listing who is seen as the Rocker and Gustav Schafer as the Pop man in the background, but what the hell. Tokio Hotel are no doubt an Alternative band and as such ought to be recognized as a band for the 'Alternative Metal' genre. Whatever this German quartet have in stock they exploit it and blast it out at unlimited beats per second whilst remaining calm and fired up for anything, no wonder they are all 'Humanoid'. One of modern day's greatest Rock bands, and a sure nominee for the Rock hall of fame.

WINTER'S VERGE
'Tales Of Tragedy'
MASSACRE
Cyprus' premier Metal quintet Winter's Verge surge back the stormy weather with their third full length since their birth in 2005, a good feat some would say, Sherlock Holmes would call it 'elementary'. Power Metal residing in Nicosia and Larnica respectively combined five Cypriots with today's modern Power Metal to give the Mediterranean island it's own slant on Power Metal. But in reality, Cyprus has a well-established Metal scene and with Winter's Verge one the frontline, they will march their native land into mainstream Metal.

VINTERSKOG
'Wintry Landscapes'
Swiss Pagan Black Metal duo Vinterskog set on an epic journey through the wintry alpine country of Switzerland, through the north Lands of Germany, Denmark and right into the coldest arctic regions of Scandinavia to trap the essence of the 'Wintry Landscapes', which coincidentally is their debut album and with it brings a very emotional yet calming deliverance of eight Pagan Black Metal tracks and with it, comes one of Switzerland's greatest underground releases to date. It is only a matter of time before they reach the same heights as Russia's Arkona and Latvia's Skyforger.

KHAEL
'Khael' + 'Dualidad'
Fiesta springs to mind with Khael's music, the Spanish Gothic Metal outfit summon upon their traditional Mediterranean music and fuse it to Gothic Metal, so much so it's easy to make a samba dance to it. It would almost seem apt that whilst this female-front Gothic Metal band sings in their native Spanish, they apply Flamenco Metal into, a genre that was pioneered by Gibraltar's Breed 77. None the less, Khael are set to become Gothic Metal's next big band, move over Tristania and Lacuna Coil, Khael aim to charge down Europe like the Spanish bull.

SWORN
'Tended High'
HAARBN PRODS.
Armenian Extreme Metallers Sworn tore up the streets of Yerevan in 2006, with a mixture of Progressive, Black and Atmospheric Metal to deliver one eerie and dark full length debut and for Armenia, whose Metal scene is far from big, means a lot. Signed to Russian label Haarbn Productions, the Armenian quintet are standing for Eastern Europe Metal and are in reality bringing cold winds from this land that separates Europe from Asia. The unique blend of Atmospheric Black and Progressive Metal gives their full length a fuller flavor and a sense of being 'Tended High'.

A PRIMITIVE EVOLUTION
'A.P.E'
Canadian Alternative Metal/R0ck quartet A Primitive Evolution come out of Toronto's back door and whip up a storm with their cheekily titled debut full length 'A.P.E'. Sounding very reminiscent of My Chemical Romance and Mindless Self Indulgence put together which in the end spells very rock-charged music. They are in not doubt, one of the next most promising rock acts to come out of the underground and with that in mind, Canada will produce their follow-up to the already proclaimed Canadian Punk Rocker Avril Lavigne. Take it away A Primitive Evolution!!
