From The Fang: Part 5 - UK!

So, the mighty Red Fang have just left the UK after playing with The Dillinger Escape Plan and the superb Mastodon. But they haven't gone without saying goodbye just yet, in the penultimate edition of the 'From The Fang' tour blogs, frontman Aaron lets us know just what us Brtis take for granted...apparently it's Colman's Mustard.
"So here now is an UK update. We've played our first three UK dates ever, and we are right now preparing to play our fourth show here in Norwich at UEA. We had a day off yesterday and I spent it walking about the old part of downtown, caught a film (Carnage - it was alright), checked out the old castle, walked around the old market, etc. It was quite nice, but COLD!
Getting to our show in Bristol was a bit of an adventure - we had to be at the ferry dock by 3am but it turns out there was a white out blizzard so it took us a good while to make it to Dieppe from Le Havre, where we had just played an insane headlining date (I will let John fill you in about that one, but you can find photos on our Facebook).
Here is a photo off the back of the ferry. Lovely weather!

And our first glimpse of the UK - are those snowdrifts or the "White Cliffs of Dover?" I suppose we were pretty far from Dover, but whatever...

One of the main things I have noticed over here is that you guys have funnier names for everything than we do.

Also, that the foods that most junior high school kids in the states think sound the most disgusting are actually the most delicious. First, there was Bubble and Squeak. Then there was a chicken breast stuffed with haggis, served with nippers and tatties (snigger, snigger). We went out for family dinner with the Mastodudes to a pub in Norwich, and I tried pheasant (complete with at least two bits of buckshot), partridge, black pudding, and sticky toffee pudding or whatever it is called. I think it might be fair to say my two favorite bites of food on this tour were the haggis and the bit of black pudding. Also, you guys have some of the best mustard in the world:

Although I think I will stay away from this product, which I saw in a "Colman's Mustard Museum" in the center of Norwich.
Alright, talk to you again soon!!
