We could not be more stoked to reveal that the one and only TOM G WARRIOR is fronting Terrorizer #212!
The former Celtic Frost and current Triptykon mastermind will be bringing Bloodstock to its knees this August, and we flew out to Zurich to visit the man himself, discovering the truth about his troubled childhood, his fascination with death and the dark side and the stifling contradictions of his life that have plagued him throughout his career.
It's not just our Tom that has us excited about BLOODSTOCK 2011 though, so we bring you the ultimate guide to the ultimate metal festival, featuring Morbid Angel, Immortal, At The Gates, Coroner and...erm...The Defiled?!
Also, we catch up with the mighty MACHINE HEAD as they prepare for the release of 'Unto The Locust', the follow-up to their career-defining and critically acclaimed 2007 opus, 'The Blackening'. And speaking of new albums, there have been plenty of opinions regarding the supposedly "super-prog" direction of new OPETH full-length 'Heritage', so we sit down with Mikael to find out the truth behind what could yet prove to be one of 2011's most controversial releases.
With this year's immense 'Carnival Is Forever', Vogg has led a newly-rejuvinated DECAPITATED to a triumphant return, and we speak with the guitarist at length about the new album, the struggles he endured in bringing his band back to life and the fateful night that took his brother Vitek's life. We also chat to Cali deathsters SUICIDE SILENCE and demand answers over why in the blue hell they decided to collaborate with Korn's Jonathan Davis. The scoundrels.
Want more? We got more! Thorr's Hammer legend RUNHILD GAMMELSAETER reflects on her unique career, rising British metallers MALEFICE explain why they've paid their dues and are ready to take it to the next level and TOXIC HOLOCAUST mastermind Joel Grind paints the world black.
We also get our hardcore on with Swedish troupe VICTIMS, the legendary DEVIN TOWNSEND fronts the latest edition of SICK SOUNDS and we chat to PREMONITION 13, IWRESTLEDABEARONCE, UNEARTH, INGESTED and BOOK OF BLACK EARTH!
Plus, metalcore heroes TIMES OF GRACE get shocked by the new Morbid Angel album, thrashers SSS talk skateboard anthems, we look back at timeless DEATH classic 'Human' and we set phasers to 'Review' and shoot at ACEPHALIX, THE DWARVES, POWERWOLF, SERPENTCULT and more!
